What is CBD?

CBD is a compound that is extracted from either the hemp plant or the cannabis plant. The acronym CBD is short for Cannabidiol. When CBD is extracted from the plant it is separated from all the other chemical compounds in the plant including THC the Psychoactive component. CBD has a soothing and relaxing effect and is known for its wide range of therapeutic healing properties. Once CBD is extracted from the plant it can be turned into a wide range of products including oils, tinctures, soft gels, pain patches, cosmetics and much much more, the list goes on. CBD is becoming the most popular compound that can be taken from hemp plants and everyone can use CBD somehow as it does not come with any heavy side effects.
